RCC to Award Free IVF Treatment in Maybe Baby Contest

Layla Wellness is excited to share that 97.1 ZHT and the Reproductive Care Center (RCC) are teaming up to help couples experiencing difficulties conceiving! Starting July 1, 2020, you can submit a video (4 minutes or less) sharing your journey to starting a family and why you should be chosen for the In Vitro Fertilization Treatments from RCC, valued at $25,000.

The Fertility Centers of New England held a similar free IVF cycle contest to help a couple that could not afford the treatment. The couple chosen for the free treatment, Kim and Ben, had struggled with conceiving after being told they would most likely be unsuccessful. Ben was diagnosed with cancer two times. They did end up conceiving a child, only to have a miscarriage shortly after. They entered the contest without any expectations and welcomed their son, Jason, on August 29th. You can read more about the winning couple’s journey at the center’s website.

Doing your research prior to entering is a crucial part of the process. So, should you enter? It is recommended that you check with your Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) doctor to make sure you are a candidate for IVF. Some patients may need more help getting pregnant; their doctor may suggest Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) as a better choice for them and their reproductive health. You can also look at RCC’s success rate at https://www.sart.org/.

Participants must be aware that sharing personal stories such as this should be taken with caution because it will be viewed and shared by the public. You must be careful and aware of what you decide to put in your videos. If you are under constricting circumstances, such as in need of a surrogate or gamete donation, you can contact RCC at their website or call 801-878-8888 for more information.

Applications will be open July 1st through August 9th 2020 and you must be 21 years of age or older to participate. You can submit the video via YouTube URL sent on their website or through Instagram or Twitter.

The public will vote August 12th to the 25th to determine the Top 5 Finalists and the winner will be announced on Frankie & Jess in September 2020. Entries will be added to the RCC website once approved.
